The self-owned research and development center laboratory is the core part of Sunkey Packaging, covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters and equipped with various precision experimental equipment and advanced testing facilities

Equipment for Quality Control and Testing:

Water Permeability Tester – 2 units: Used to determine the water permeability of packaging materials.

Oxygen Permeability Tester – 2 units: Used to determine the oxygen permeability of packaging materials.

Gas Phase Chromatography – 2 units: Used for detecting the residual solvent content in packaging materials.

Tensiometer – 3 units: Used to test the peel strength, tensile strength, and elongation of packaging materials.

AT-FY – 1 unit: Used to test the physical properties of high-temperature cooking products.

Low-Power Microscope – 1 unit: Used for material structure analysis.

Friction Coefficient Meter – 1 unit: Used for measuring the dynamic and static friction coefficient of packaging materials.

2D Tester – 1 unit: Used for two-dimensional accuracy detection of measuring materials.

GBB-F – 2 units: Used for raw material unsealing temperature detection, finished product heat sealing strength detection, and more.

Electronic Analytical Balance – 2 units: Used for measuring gram weight (unit weight), glue amount, chemical tests, and more.

Environmental Chamber – 1 unit: Used for stability testing experiments.

Microbial Detector – 6 units: Used for configuring, storing, and operating microorganisms.

Chemical Testing Instrument – 14 units: Used for chemical testing operations and reagent storage.

Others – 18 units: Used for various testing purposes.

The laboratory is composed of an experienced technical team who are proficient in the physical, chemical, and processing aspects of plastic materials, and have rich packaging process experience of up to 36 years. They can develop the best packaging materials and solutions according to customers’ needs and requirements. The laboratory not only has high-level technical capabilities but also adheres to strict quality management systems and safety production standards, ensuring that customers receive high-quality and reliable products.

Institute of Packaging Materials

In addition to the self-owned research and development center laboratory, Sunkey Packaging also cooperates with the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University to establish a composite packaging material research institute. The School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University is ranked first in QS global ranking for food engineering major, which means we can obtain more research resources and talent support, as well as more professional technical support and research and development resources. The fact that the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University is ranked first in QS global ranking for food engineering major demonstrates their strength and reputation in the food field, giving us more confidence in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. We will fully utilize these resources when developing new products, constantly innovate and improve our packaging materials to meet customers’ needs and expectations.
